Lynx Heli Innovations has redesigned the standard Protos 500 plastic tail case, using aluminum alloy.
Helicopter upgrades can be a trap – often they look nice but do little for function.  Weight is of course critical.  In particular, helicopter tail components are important were small weight differences can make a huge difference to final flight performance.
We spent hours optimizing the design to achieve the required strength with a final weight beyond compromise. We are pilots, and we expect top performance from our upgrades.
Our tail case housing is made by 3 CNC parts (Hub, Left and Right plates), assembled together with few and strategic screw system.
Belt and tail shaft service become really easy thanks the clever locking system were the left panel can easy removed with only 3 screw.
We have improved the standard plastic part strength and geometrical tolerances impossible using mold plastic.
Lynx Protos 500 tail case has tail pretension pulley and built-in tail boom lock pin that fit into tail boom.  Tail case can also work with any Mini Protos vertical fin you like.
For the easy installation the Protos 500 tail case is preassembled in factory and ready to use.
Special set of shims are supported for the best fine adjust to remove any sideway shaft play
